EMPLOYMENT GENERATED by CDFs:-

The Portmore CDF, for the period under review, has out performed all the other CDFs in terms of: value and number of loans granted and employment sustained and generated.

The top four CDFs in the area of employment were:

First:- Portmore CDF

•  $34.4 million in loans
• Employment sustained and generated – 648.

Second:- St. Elizabeth CDF

•  $9.5 million in loans
• Employment sustained and generated – 433.

Third:- South Trelawny CDF

•  $12.0 million in Loans
•  Employment sustained and generated – 431.

Fourth:- Greater Portland CDF

•  $14.4 million in loans
•  Employment sustained and generated – 424.

 

Growth in Loans Production

The three outstanding CDFs in the area of loans production growth were:

First:- Portmore CDF

•  Achieved 166.9% growth over previous year in loans production.

Second:- Hanover CDF

•  Achieved 55.9% loan growth over 2001/2002.

Third:- Clarendon CDF

•  Achieved 45% growth in loans over previous year.

Collections

In the area of collections, the Clarendon & Urban Hanover CDFs have been the most improved CDFs in the area of collection on loans.
