Westmoreland - Main Page

The Westmoreland Community Development Fund was registered under the Industrial and Provident Societies Act, Chapter 159 on December 24, 1992 and has been in operation since February 1993. The Westmoreland CDF was an initiative between the Micro Investment Development Agency, MIDA and the people of Eastern Westmoreland. A sum of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) from the Social and Economic Support Programme, (SESP) funds was given as Equity Funding. Persons of the parish of Westmoreland were challenged to save and to utilize the credit funds.
